About these terms
Terms of Mischief is a game operated by Sean Cantrell. These terms describe permitted use of the game and its beta service. Questions, safety concerns and requests can be sent to sean.a.cantrell@gmail.com. These terms do not remove rights that applicable law gives you.
Wishes are voluntary—not obligations or consent
Accepting a Wish, boost or Patron invocation in the game does not create a real-world obligation or constitute consent to any activity. A game result, accepted bid or fulfillment record is not proof of consent. Participation remains voluntary; anyone can decline, change their mind or withdraw consent at any time without owing a substitute activity. Never use the game to pressure, threaten or coerce another person. Discuss any real-world activity separately and obtain freely given, specific and ongoing consent. The game is entertainment, not relationship counseling or a guarantee of any outcome.
Eligibility and respectful play
Meet the minimum-age and parent or guardian permission requirements that apply to you and to the distribution service you use. We do not impose a separate blanket 18-and-over requirement. Do not use the game for harassment, threats, stalking, fraud, impersonation, exploitation, unlawful sexual content, or sharing someone else's private information without permission. Do not exploit, cheat, attack the service or interfere with other players. Report concerns to the contact above; do not send intimate material or another person's private conversations unless necessary and lawful.
Your content
You retain your rights in the messages, Wishes, profile images and other content you provide. Share only content you have the right to use and send. You permit the limited copying, storage, transmission and display needed to provide the features you choose, including delivering content to your chosen recipients. This is not permission to sell your private content, use it in advertising or train AI models on it. Recipients may retain or copy what you send; deleting your own copy cannot recall theirs.
The game and its assets
You receive a limited, non-exclusive permission to use the game for personal play and, during the beta, testing. Rights in our code, branding and assets remain with their respective rights holders. Do not resell the app or redistribute its standalone art, music or video assets without permission. This does not restrict rights granted by applicable open-source licenses or mandatory law. You may discuss the game and share gameplay screenshots or recordings, provided you protect private messages, Wishes and other people's personal information.
Beta availability and purchases
This beta is free and contains no paid purchases. Features, balance and availability may change; bugs, interruptions or loss of saved data can occur. We do not promise uninterrupted service, permanent beta access or preservation of every beta match. Any future paid offering will disclose its price and scope before purchase; these terms do not promise that future content is included. Protect your device and consider its backup options before installing updates.
Stopping use and service restrictions
You may stop playing at any time. In-app privacy controls erase specified local records; they do not delete a recipient's copy or automatically erase server records. Contact us for server-data or access requests. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, legal requirements or discontinuation of the beta. Where practical and lawful, we will explain a restriction and provide a way to contact us about it.
Responsibility and limits
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided as available without guarantees that it will be error-free or meet every purpose. We are not a party to arrangements players make outside the game and do not enforce Wishes. Nothing here excuses unlawful conduct, excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights. We do not claim that encryption or player responsibility eliminates our own legal duties.
Updates and other terms
We will date revisions and provide appropriate notice of material changes; changes do not retroactively alter an existing purchase. Separate platform terms, including TestFlight terms for TestFlight installations, also apply. These terms do not replace the Privacy Policy, which explains data handling.
